About this event
Ward End Park in Birmingham hosted a free, all-day tent pegging show on Sunday 26 July 2026, starting at 11am. It was organised by the Prince Malik Ata Tent Pegging Association (PMATPA), and skilled riders from across the country competed for the Tent Pegging Memorial Cup 2026.
The programme also included horse riding demonstrations and a traditional cavalry display. The event was held in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and Dame Beverly Lindsay, the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, was due to attend.
Visitors were advised that public parking was at Wood End Park, with the No 94 and No 95 buses stopping on Washwood Heath Road.
The organisers' flyer described the cup as for invited riders only, with a Smart car advertised as the prize for first place.
